Life is always an adventure, especially when you travel outside your home city and experience new things. We caught a travel bug early on in our marriage. We would take little weekend trips to Las Vegas, Seattle, and Chicago. The food and bright lights of the big city kept drawing us in. And then we started extending those trips and spending more time exploring the suburbs and small towns around those cities.
So why an RV?
After we came home from an extended road trip, we were exhausted. But not from the traveling or adventuring. We were tired of hauling our luggage in and out of the car and in hotels every night. And then we started seeing RVs pass by on the road and the lightbulb lit up… “Why not take our home with us on road trips?”
77,000 miles later, the RV travel life has taken us on some pretty unforgettable adventures. And we’re just getting started with our life adventures!
Meet the Fam.
It’s generally a mixture of chaos and fun with 3 boys tagging along, but we love to adventure as a family.
It was this very moment in this picture where Jonah whispered in my ear, “don’t worry Mom, just close your eyes and feel the fun!” as we jumped on the board and cruised down the sand dune. And I knew I was doing something right! 😍
RV life made a lot of sense. Something new and exciting is always just around the next corner. The kids don’t even flinch now when the paved highways turn into “quick” side trips down dirt roads for several hours.
We don’t know when or where it started, but he decided he liked tricks. And his preferred trick at the moment is handstands. Everywhere we go.
If he’s not jumping, he’s up to his usual mischief and he’s probably hiding. If he’s hiding, just tell him that you have candy or sushi and he’ll come running.
He skipped the lesson on walking and went straight to running. Most adventures begin and end with chasing him to make sure he doesn’t run off someplace he shouldn’t go.
